Were it not for you, we wouldn’t be here to greet an unprecedented opportunity. Your support has sustained us to this season and enabled us to witness the turning of the tide. Like an old-time thriller, the heroine, civilization, is tied to a stake on the seashore, and the water has been rising. We watched it rise above her knees, then it reached her shoulders, and relentlessly it continued up to her chin. We attempted to save her, but the forces against us were winning. And now suddenly, just like that, the tide has turned and it has started to slowly recede.
Now, we are able to race down the beach and rescue her from the stake. The challenge we face is still a challenge. It is still the same age-old battle; chaos vs. order, barbarism vs. civilization, darkness vs. light, good vs. evil, and the Biblical blueprint vs. secular progressivism. But what makes this moment so different from 30, 20, and even 10 years ago, is that right now, more and more of us recognize the threat for what it is—and are eager to join the fight against it. Right now, those advising the government are listening to us in a way they never have during previous administrations.
With your enthusiastic participation, we of the American Alliance of Jews and Christians (AAJC) are blasting the sound of the shofar. We are calling people loudly and clearly–people who only ten years ago might have ignored the call— to rebuild the culture, economy, and spiritual heart of our world.
Our exciting restoration project continues doing the work we have always pledged to do, rebuilding Bible-based, Judeo-Christian values in hearts and homes. We provide intellectual and emotional ammunition to strengthen individuals and provide conversation starters to share with family, friends, and acquaintances.
While things are definitely looking up, ominous clouds hover on the horizon. You have hardly ever heard us express concern about anti-Semitism. In fact, for decades we have been urging Jews to fight anti-Christianism. This we continue to do, but we are also deeply troubled by the increasing anti-Semitism that we see infiltrating the culture. We continue to uphold Bible-based, Judeo-Christian values so necessary for society’s survival.
We are alarmed by the many virulent strains of anti-Jewish bigotry prevalent across Europe and spreading the length and breadth of North America. While we have countered lies from the Left for a long time, we are now seeing the need to counter those coming from the Right as well.
We are determined to help defeat the evil impulse pervading many nations and their united councils, aimed at exterminating Israel. For years we have seen criticism of the Jewish state, but wanting to see it removed from the map is clearly something else.
Across the vast AAJC landscape families are rebuilding their lives using permanent principles of timeless truth. We must encourage and support them. Hordes of hopeful people are seeking clarity through Biblical eternals. We must provide them with that for which they yearn. We respond to questions from countless leaders and laypeople clamouring for purpose, order, and meaning because we can and we must. This is a timely opportunity not to be missed.
