- Strengthen your family relationships
- Grow in your faith
- Improve your finances

Why journaling works
Writing things down:
- Helps clarify your thinking
- Reinforces progress
- Reveals patterns in your behavior
Over time, your journal becomes a record of growth—capturing both progress and setbacks, and helping you learn from both.
By the end of the year, you’ll have something remarkable:
A written story of how far you’ve come.
🎥 Optional Companion Video Series
Stay motivated and consistent with the weekly video series from Rabbi Daniel and Susan Lapin.
Each video:
- Introduces the week’s theme
- Provides encouragement and practical insight from Susan and Rabbi Lapin
- Helps you stay accountable and engaged
👉 Add the video bundle for additional guidance and motivation throughout your journey.

I began this “Journaling Challenge” on the first day of January of 2020 (although, you can begin it anytime). I have found it a very useful daily exercise (although, some days I have no entry, but I reflect and ponder the weekly waypoint). The journal allows you great flexibility while making very good suggestions towards self-improvement. It requires patience and diligence; but do not allow yourself to be rigid and uptight. The journal is a process and naturally requires time; a precious commodity as pointed out by the Lapins, but you are not wasting it in engaging this book. I enjoy the Scripture verses and being a Christian, I bring in weekly, companion verses from the New Testament. That being said, you do NOT need any religious affiliation to participate in this voyage. I plan to use this book by going beyond the 52 weeks and on into the new year. Doing so will allow me to continue to reflect on the weekly waypoints by adding personal notes and updating previous entries. In my opinion, this is not simply a book to be read; but a vehicle to a new and exciting destination … a NEW YOU!
